After four years, the Emmy winning series “Master of None” will return to Netflix in May.
The show was on an unusual four year hiatus after series star Aziz Ansari was embroiled in the #MeToo movement.
Word is the third season of “Master of None” will focus on Lena Waithe’s character, Denise.
Since the first two seasons focused on Ansari’s character’s unfortunate love life, focusing on Denise will give the series some breathing room to see if the audience still has an appetite for the show and Ansari.
It should be noted that Waithe and Ansari shared a Emmy win for the season 2 episode “Thanksgiving” which focused on Denise and her coming out story. It stands as a top 3 episode of the series.
