With all the reboots happening these days it was just a matter of time before the classic sitcom “Good Times” got its shot.

An animated reboot of the 1970s sitcom in the works at Netflix with original executive producer Norman Lear joining “Family Guy” creator Seth MacFarlane and NBA superstar Steph Curry as executive producers. This version of “Good Times” is created by “The Boondocks”producer Carl Jones.

The original series, which aired from 1974-1979, followed the Evans family as they navigate life in the Chicago housing projects. The updated series will have the family living in modern day, navigating today’s world and contemporary social issues.

Netflix has ordered ten episodes of the series. No word yet on when the show will debut.
