One of my favorite characters is coming to the small screen! Apple TV+ is bringing Snoopy back to tv in his very own tv series. The popular “Peanuts” character’s show will premiere on February 5. The streamer released the trailer for the new series today.
Snoopy will be seen donning his various alter egos – Joe Cool, Masked Marvel and World War I Flying Ace.
The series will be composed of three, seven-minute cartoons based on the original comic strip series.
Don’t worry, “The Snoopy Show” will also welcome iconic characters Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Franklin, Schroeder and Peppermint Patty to various episodes of the series.
Apple TV+ has become the streaming home to “Peanuts” content with the acquisition of the classic holiday specials and originals “Peanuts in Space: Secrets of Apollo 10” and “Snoopy in Space”.
The streaming wars continue to heat up as Netflix, HBO Max and Hulu keep upping the ante on acquisitions and original content. Apple TV+ is banking on “The Snoopy Show” to bring in nostalgia viewers as well as appealing to a broader, younger demo.
