Fox has decided not to go forward with the “Empire” spinoff that centered on Taraji P. Henson’s iconic character Cookie Lyon.
“Empire” ended it’s six season run earlier this spring without a proper finale due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The spinoff would have offered fans a bit more closure to the mothership series.
Rumor has it the show is being shopped to Disney-owned ABC and Hulu. Disney’s 20th Television is producing the project with Ron Howard’s Imagine TV.
