“Wonder Woman 1984” will stream on HBO Max starting December 25. The film will also be released in movie theaters on this day as well.
HBO Max won’t be charging a fee for subscribers to watch the movie, unlike Disney+ when they released “Mulan” on their streaming platform.
The decision by WarnerMedia to release “Wonder Woman 1984” on HBO Max in addition to its theatrical release is due to the continuing Covid-19 pandemic. Many movie theaters around the country are still closed or open with limited capacity.
The film will only be available on the streaming service for 31 days and then only available in theaters for another month. After that “Wonder Woman 1984” will then enter its premium VOD window.
