With no more “Sex & the City” movies on the horizon there is a smart, fun and sexy spinoff opportunity for the iconic tv show.

This version of the city would focus on Miranda’s son Brady and Charlottes two daughters, Lily and Rose. Brady has followed in his mother’s footsteps by becoming a lawyer, but because he’s also his father’s son, he has eschewed the corporate life to be a public defender. Lily, having been raised in an all white world is now trying to discover her cultural roots as an aspiring writer, with her godmother Carrie s her mentor. Rose would be a freshman at NYU, overwhelmed with not having her helicopter parents taking care of her every need.

The three would become reacquainted at Samantha’s funeral. She succumbs to another recurrence of breast cancer. It’s been a while since Brady and Lily have seen each other and Brady is immediately attracted to her. Lily is oblivious to Brady’s attraction so he has some work to do. Rose, on the other hand, thinks Brady hung the moon.

While there the trio meets Sam, the adopted son of Stanford and Anthony. He’s African American and gay.

When Brady mentions that he’s found the perfect two bedroom apartment in the East Village, but the guy he was going to live with didn’t get the job he needed so he pulled out. Sam, a graphic designer tells Brady his dads are driving him nuts and wants to move out and could swing the rent.

And with that we would follow the adventures of this foursome as they navigate young adulthood in the city with some occasional help from the adults in their lives.

This would be a great original for HBO Max as they continue to try to grow their streaming platform.
