The NBC owned streaming service Peacock is close to a series commitment for a reboot of the 90s series “New York Undercover.”

The series is being developed/executive produced by Ayanna Floyd Davis, who most recently served as executive producer on Showtime’s “The Chi.”

Floyd Davis describes the reboot as “a re-examination of the original, reflecting the current times.” The series picks up 20 years after the original series ended.

“New York Undercover” was a groundbreaking show featuring two detective of color in a way we hadn’t seen on television.
