The next time you log onto Netflix you’ll see a new feature. The streaming service has launched “More Than A Movement” which is designed to feature “powerful and complex narratives about the Black experience.”

The curated content includes the documentary 13th, Mudbound, Orange Is The New Black, Moonlight, When They See Us and Spike Lee’s new film Da 5 Bloods.

Netflix recently tweeted, “When we say ‘Black Lives Matter,’ we also mean ‘Black storytelling matters.’ With an understanding that our commitment to true, system change will take time, we’re starting by highlighting powerful and complex narratives about the Black experience.”

Netflix has the most diverse and inclusive content of the non-niche streaming services so curating this content wasn’t difficult. It was just a matter of putting it all together under an easy to find umbrella.

Hopefully the streamer will keep to its word and continue to tell fascinating, complex and contemporary stories about the Black experience. This also includes giving up and coming Black creatives an opportunity and platform for their stories.
