Gabrielle Union has filed a harassment complaint in California against the producers of America’s Got Talent. She also alleges that NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy threatened her over speaking out against racism on set. Union was a judge on the talent competition show for one season and alleged a toxic culture at the show that included racist jokes and excessive focus on female judge’s appearances. Fellow judge Julianne Hough also exited the series at the same time.
The suit names show producers FremantleMedia and Simon Cowell’s Syco as well as NBCUniversal.
NBCUniversal has denied all allegations by Union.
