CBS All Access announced that it has renewed “The Good Fight” for a fifth season. The series’ current fourth season is being cut due to the Hollywood shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The planned 10 episode season will now end with episode 7 on Thursday, May 28th.
The fifth season will incorporate the unfinished storylines from season 4.
“The Good Fight” is a spinoff of the Emmy winning CBS drama “The Good Wife” but has really been able to set its own distinct tone since season 1. The show tackles topical issues including the election and subsequent administration of Donald Trump.
There’s a rumor that Cush Jumbo won’t be returning as Lucca Quinn, but I’m hoping it’s just that. She’s a phenomenal actress who brings such life to the character.

CBS All Access streaming service starts at $5.99 and like most ad supported services you can pay more for limited or commercial free service. An annual subscription comes with a 15% discount. A 7-day free trail is included and you can cancel at any time.
In addition to original programming like “The Good Fight” subscribers also have access to current CBS daytime, primetime programs and their vast library of series and movies.
