May is always an exciting time for television. We learn which shows the broadcast networks have cancelled and what their fall schedules will look like. But, with so many viewing options, lots of series and specials are premiering this May. Here are a few highlights:

I’M DYING UP HERE, MAY 6 (SHOWTIME) – Comedians struggle to make it big in Los Angeles comedy scene of the 1970s.
CHRISLEY KNOWS BEST, MAY 8 (USA) – Self-made millionaire Todd Chrisley uses his business acumen in his home life, to the amusement and dismay of his family.
LITTLE WOMEN: MINISERIES, MAY 13 (PBS) – Dramatization of Louisa May Alcott’s novel about the lives of the four March sisters during the American Civil War as they learn to navigate love, loss and the trials of growing up.
THE TALE, MAY 26 (HBO) – Based on the filmmaker’s own story, THE TALE is an investigation into one woman’s memory as she’s forced to re-examine her first sexual relationship and the stories we tell ourselves to survive.
QUEEN SUGAR, MAY 29 (OWN) – Season three explores the continuing story of a New Orleans family and their struggles running a sugarcane farm.
THE UNBREAKABLE KIMMY SCHMIDT, MAY 30 (NETFLIX) – Season 4 follows Kimmy as she continues to adjust to the 21st century and learn more about who she really is.
